You must summarise the various positions within a body of literature, drawing attention to key &#8216;voices&#8217; and ideas. Not all these will be in agreement with one\u00a0another and your goal is to map out the intellectual area, and \u00a0to\u00a0define the connection between different key players. \u00a0Show that you know\u00a0the key debates within, and differences between,\u00a0your chosen\u00a0theories .<\/p>\n<p>Use the following words and phrases to help map out the knowledge domain.\u00a0\u00a0They express specific types of relationships between ideas.<\/p>\n<p>on one hand<br \/>\non the other hand<br \/>\ncontrary to<br \/>\nin line with<br \/>\nparallel to<br \/>\nrelated to<br \/>\nlinked to<br \/>\nresponds to<br \/>\nelaborates<br \/>\nundermines<br \/>\nexplores \/ investigates<br \/>\ncontributes to the research on<br \/>\nenters the debate<br \/>\nre-emphasizes the categories<br \/>\nin agreement with<br \/>\nin opposition to<br \/>\nin confirmation of<br \/>\nin response to<br \/>\nin reaction against<br \/>\nin contrast to<br \/>\ninfluenced by<br \/>\nrejects<br \/>\nconfuses<br \/>\nreinforces<br \/>\na similar focus\/approach\/tone<br \/>\na slightly different focus\/approach\/tone<br \/>\na broader scope<br \/>\na narrower scope<br \/>\nmore specific \/ more general<br \/>\nin the same vein<br \/>\nin a different sphere<br \/>\nadapts<br \/>\nmisses<br \/>\nsupports<br \/>\nrevisits the same subject<br \/>\nrevolutionizes the field of<br \/>\nbypasses the debate<br \/>\nbreaks out of the paradigm<br \/>\ngoes beyond<br \/>\nmisinterprets<br \/>\ncriticizes<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For more see this link The point of writing a literature review is to introduce the bodies of literature that frame your research.
